Charley Chau’s 10th Birthday Photo Competition

1.0 The Charley Chau 10th Birthday Photo Competition is promoted by Charley Chau Limited a company registered in England under company no. 07334645. Our trading address and address for correspondence is Unit F, The Courts, Kestrel Road, Manchester M17 1SF, United Kingdom.
2.0 There is no entry fee for this competition.
3.0 All entrants must be aged 18 or over.
4.0 By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5.0 The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Rules of the competition
6.0 The theme of the photo competition is “My dog in Charley Chau bliss”.
7.0 Entrants are required to submit a photograph with a caption or a video that the entrant thinks really captures the essence of a dog sleeping in Charley Chau bliss.
8.0 Entrants must have the right to submit the photograph, video and any text for the caption into this competition – for example, if you did not take the photograph then you must have express written permission from the copyright owner permitting you to use the image before entering it into this competition.

How to enter the competition
9.0 There are three routes to entry for this competition. Entrants can choose to use any route that is most convenient to them – entries can be submitted via just one entry route and do not need to be submitted via all three routes.
10.0 Entries can be submitted through Facebook, Instagram and via email to hello@charleychau.com. Each of the three entry routes is detailed below:
10.1 Entries on Instagram
10.1.1 Your Instagram account will need to be set to “public” to enter via this route. If you have a private Instagram account please choose a different entry route.
10.1.2 Post your photograph or video on Instagram with a caption that explains why you and your dog(s) love Charley Chau.
10.1.3 Tag the entry post with the hash tag #lovecharleychau on your post.
10.1.4 Follow Charley Chau (https://www.instagram.com/charleychau/) on Instagram - this is not a mandatory condition of entry but could make it easier for you to see the winners’ announcement and it will mean that if you do win we can message you via Instagram direct to your inbox! We will not spam you.
10.2 Entries on Facebook
10.2.1 Post your photograph or video and caption that explains why you and your dog(s) love Charley Chau on the Charley Chau Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/charleychau/).
10.2.2 Tag the post with the hash tag #lovecharleychau.
10.2.3 Like Charley Chau (https://www.facebook.com/charleychau/) on Facebook - this is not a mandatory condition of entry but could make it easier for you to see the winners’ announcement!
10.3 Entries via email
10.3.1 Send your photo and caption or video to hello@charleychau.com.
11.0 There is no limit to how many entries one entrant can submit, although we recommend that entrants focus on quality and not quantity.
12.0 Entries submitted from 1 August 2020 will be accepted for this 10th Birthday Photo Competition. The closing date for entries is midnight (BST) on Monday, 31 August 2020. After this date no further entries to the 10th Birthday Photo Competition will be permitted.
13.0 No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
14.0 Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The prizes offered are as follows:
15.0 Three winners will be chosen by a panel of three judges comprising representatives of Charley Chau. The judges will choose three entries that they think best show a dog sleeping in Charley Chau bliss. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16.0 The prizes are as stated and no cash or any other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
17.0 Three prizes are offered as part of the Charley Chau ‘Charley Chau 10th Birthday Photo Competition’ Photo Competition:
17.1 First prize: A one week (seven night) stay at the Pinkmead Estate, Isle of Wight, UK and a Charley Chau Bliss Bolster Bed in the size and colour of the winner’s choice
17.1.1 The first prize winner will win a one week (seven night) stay at the Pinkmead Estate, Isle of Wight, UK (www.pinkmeadestate.co.uk) for a maximum of six adults. Dogs are invited to stay too with no additional charges. The residence is a self-catering residence and is offered on a self-catering basis.
17.1.2 The holiday must be booked within twelve months of the date of the winner’s announcement which will be made via the Charley Chau Blog (www/charleychau.com/blog) and the holiday must be taken before 31 December 2021.
17.1.3 The holiday prize at the Pinkmead Estate must be booked as a continuous seven night stay and cannot be split into multiple visits.
17.1.4 The holiday will be for seven nights from Friday to Friday and can be booked at any time to suit the winner excluding the weeks of the Isle of Wight Festival and Cowes Week, and subject to availability.
17.1.5 Charley Chau will issue the first prize winner with a unique winner’s passcode. The winner will need to make their reservation directly through the Pinkmead Estate and the first prize winner will need to quote the winner’s pass code when making the reservation. Full details will be supplied to the first prize winner by Charley Chau.
17.1.6 If the first prize winner books the seven night stay and cancels within 14 days of the first day of the booking no new dates will be offered.
17.1.7 If the holiday is booked and cannot go ahead on the dates booked because of Government laws and regulations relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, alternative dates will be offered.
17.1.8 Transportation to and from the Pinkmead Estate on the Isle of Wight is not included in the prize.
17.1.9 The first prize winner will also win a Charley Chau Bliss Bolster Bed in a size and colour of their choice subject to availability. Charley Chau will contact the first prize winner and the Charley Chau Bliss Bolster Bed will be shipped directly to the first prize winner free of charge.
17.2 Two runners-up prizes: Charley Chau Bliss Bolster Beds
17.2.1 Two runners-up will be selected to each win one Charley Chau Bliss Bolster Bed in the size and colour of their choice subject to availability.
17.2.2 Charley Chau will contact the two runners-up and the Charley Chau Bliss Bolster Beds will be shipped directly to the runners-up free of charge.
18.0 The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
19.0 By entering this competition the entrant agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as any image, video or text supplied with their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

Notifying the winners
20.0 The names of the three winners and their entries will be published on the Charley Chau website (charleychau.com) within 14 days of the closing date of the competition, and available on request via hello@charleychau.com from 14 days after the competition closing date.
21.0 The three winners selected will be notified by direct message on Facebook or Instagram or by email (depending on their entry route) within 14 days of the competition closing date.
22.0 If any of the three winners cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the relevant winner and pick a replacement winner.
23.0 When notifying the winners, Charley Chau will confirm details of the prize won and the delivery / take-up of the prizes won.
24.0 Charley Chau’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Other conditions
25.0 Charley Chau reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
26.0 Charley Chau Limited shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. Charley Chau Limited also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
27.0 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or any other social network. You are providing your information to Charley Chau Limited and not to any other party.
