The Dog Burrow Bag for Scrabblers in Weave II – a luxe snuggle sack dog bed in Weave II, our next-gen upholstery fabric that is pluck-resistant, stain-resistant, and wear-resistant even if your dog digs persistently at their bed.

Currently available for pre-order in Heron Grey only for dispatch in the week commencing 16 December 2024. Due to a delay on our fabric delivery, Oak and Earth will be available to order in January 2025.

Our Dog Burrow Bag for dogs that love to scrabble at their beds, finished entirely in Weave II, without the faux-fur fleece lining on our Classic Burrow Bag, but with its insulated duvet top, still cosy and comforting.

Our Burrow Bags have a slimline mattress, a snuggle sack style bed, more more portable than a full-blow Snuggle Bed so it's brilliant as a travel bed and also fab for the sofa or an armchair.

Perfect for any dogs that love to burrow including short-coated hounds from Dachshunds to Hungarian Vizslas; Sighthounds, especially Italian Greyhounds and Whippets; and Terrier dogs who were bred to go to ground; and many more.

Highlights:

Outer cover finished entirely in Weave II, a textured, woven upholstery fabric with a Martindale Rub Score of 100,000, suitable for use in severe commercial settings e.g. on public transport - pluck-resistant and wear-resitant.
FibreGuard stain-guarding treatment built-in – a dream to spot clean in between washes.
Slimline mattress in the base, made with 900gsm upholstery wadding, makes this Burrow Bag a convenient travel bed for dogs and fab where a deep-filled mattress isn’t needed e.g. on your sofa, or placed on top of an existing dog bed.
Insulated duvet top with a 350gsm/9oz quilting wadding to create a cosy cover even without the faux-fur fleece lining of our Classic Burrow Bag.
Fully removable covers and machine washable everything, including the mattress and optional Waterproof Bed Liner.

Note: Weave II is incredibily tough when it comes to dogs scrabbling and general wear and tear but it is not chew proof - bear in mind dogs can chew through wood.

Small - approx. 70 x 58 cm - a good size for Chihuahuas, small Mini-Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, and smaller Jack Russells
Medium - approx. 80 x 64 cm - a good size for Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Mini-Dachshunds, taller Italian Greyhounds and very small Whippets
Large - approx. 110 x 82 cm - a good size for average to taller Whippets, Working Cocker Spaniels, Standard Dachshunds, small Lurchers & Hungarian Vizslas.

Please allow slightly more room for your dog when choosing a Burrow Bag as Burrow Bags need to be slightly larger than a standard dog bed that a dog would lie on top of because of the stitched in blanket top.

Exclusive Faux-Fur-Fleece Lining – soft and cosy, breathable and moisture-wicking. The cosy lining in our Snuggle Beds and Burrow Bags is knitted exclusively for Charley Chau to our exact specifications by a fabulous textiles mill in Yorkshire who we’ve been working with since 2010.

Burrow Bag Mattress Insert - our slimline travel mattress for the Burrow Bag has a polycotton outer and is filled with a resilient 900gsm upholstery wadding that is commonly used to in upholstery for human sofas and armchairs.

Waterproof Liner (optional) - a soft, breathable waterproof fabric that acts as a barrier to dust, dirt and animal dander to keep your dog's bed hygienically clean for longer. This fabulously technical fabric is more commonly found on pillow protectors for humans in healthcare settings.

Machine washable everything with fully removable outer covers.

Outer covers, optional Waterproof Liners, and the Travel Pad Insert are all machine washable.

Washcare labels are stitched into every component part of a Charley Chau bed and blanket for ease of reference on wash days.
